- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government provides training courses which are managed through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Learning Center (ULC) located in Huntsville, Alabama.� These courses are taught at educational institutions by experienced and/or certified instructors. Courses are taught utilizing technical and/or specialized manuals in conjunction with book and laboratory-based exercises designed to fulfill the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mission and needs-based requirements. The purpose of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Test and Balancing Quality Verification (HVAC TAB) course (#068) is to provide guidance, book/manual and lab-based experience to build technical capabilities to quality assurance personnel in the field with the necessary skills and knowledge to evaluate system installation and system testing, adjusting, and balancing.� The HVAC Systems Commissioning course (#327) provides technical information to successfully perform construction quality verification duties for commissioning of mechanical systems. The course identifies procedures for startup, sequence of operation, and testing that pertain to mechanical equipment and repetitive deficiencies in system performance.� Both courses (#068 and #327) require the use of specialized facilities, technical staff and expertise to fulfill the training requirements.� The HVAC courses shall consist of 36 hours of classroom instruction.� The Contractor shall teach 16 hours (two-days) of laboratory instruction and the remaining 20 hours of classroom instruction taught by the Government.� The Contractor shall ensure that an approved teaching curriculum is developed to meet standards based upon ULC Pamphlet 350-70 ULC Training Development Guide and TRADOC PAM 350-70-14. Amendment 01-�The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to contractor questions regarding the solicitation. Contractor questions and answers are provided via Attachment 3. This amendment also incorporates a revised Attachment 2- Applicable Provisions and Clauses. Please see attached amendment.� Amendment 02-��The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to contractor questions regarding the solicitation.
