- Description
- On 09/21/2022, Raytheon Company, Tewksbury, Massachusetts, was awarded a $160,171,318 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-only contract for Dual Band Radar (DBR) Design Agent and Technical Engineering efforts. Engineering services and supplies are required to support the DBR systems installed aboard CVN78 and DDG1000 class ships. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $440,640,174. Work will be performed in Tewksbury, Massachusetts (40%), Marlborough, Massachusetts (20%), San Diego, California (15%), Norfolk, Virginia (10%), Andover, Massachusetts (5%), Portsmouth, Rhode Island (5%), and Chesapeake, Virginia (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2023. If all options are exercised, work will continue through September 2027. This contract (N00024-22-C-5501) was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity. Further Explanation of the Contract: This is a follow-on acquisition that continues performance of DBR efforts performed on contracts N00024-19-C-5509 and N00024-18-G-5501 in support of Ship Activation, Industrial, and Operational Test Programs on CVN 78 and DDG 1000 class ships.� This follow-on acquisition will provide DBR hardware services for system upgrades or redesigns, software services for Engineering Change Proposals, product support, test equipment procurement, installation integration support, combat system integration testing, program management support, studies and analysis.
