Description

The Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island (Food Service), will be hosting a Vendor Industry Day for small businesses that provide food service equipment and installation.� This event will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023. �The purpose of this Industry Day is to allow vendors an opportunity to tour our dining facilities to gain better understand of future requirements. �Additionally, vendors who attend will be given an opportunity to schedule a virtual meeting with our Food Service and Contracting team to present their capabilities and products. Vendors are encouraged to provide new products and innovative solutions that can satisfy our existing and future needs. BACKGROUND: The mission of Depot Food Service is to provide command management of the Food Service Program (FSP), technical assistance, and quality assurance support to the contracted dining facilities.� Aboard the installation, there are five dining facilities or mess halls, which produce over 1.5 million�meals annually to recruits and permanent personnel. �Our goal is to outfit these buildings with�modernized equipment to keep up with the heavy production demands.� Most of the existing equipment have well surpassed their life expectancy. �Our Contracting Office supports the procurement of our dining equipment.� Some previous purchases are, but not limited to, convention ovens, combination ovens, beverage stations, fryers, ice machines, flat-top griddles, brasiers, frost countertops, and serving counters. �� DATE/TIME/LOCATION OF EVENT: The Food Service Vendor Industry Day will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM EST.� It is anticipated that this event will last approximately three (3) hours. Vendors shall report to the Religious Ministries Fellowship Hall, Building 854 Boulevard De France, Parris Island, South Carolina 29905. � REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: Interested vendors should pre-register for this event no later than Wednesday, February 15, 2023.� Please complete the attached form and email it to emani.gray@usmc.mil and copy kevin.ortega@usmc.mil.
