Description
In June 2025 (tentative soft opening May 2025, the Library of Congress (henceforth, �LOC� or �the Library�) will open a learning space in the Southwest Corridor (SWC) of the Thomas Jefferson Building (henceforth �SWC�) in a newly renovated space on the ground floor, which will be approximately 5,700 square feet (see Attachment J-1). The SWC will be a user-driven, flexible, participatory, experiential space that inspires intergenerational groups that include children ages 7�13 to use the Library and to learn�about doing research by engaging in co-learning through the institution�s collections, people, and services. The Southwest Corridor�will inspire visitors to make the practices of research part of their lives and will invite them to use the Library�s resources for their�own creative purposes.� The SWC will be a platform to support visitor learning experiences, (onsite, in the space, as well as online). The Library seeks a firm with extensive experience in providing onsite Audiovisual (A/V) Integration Services for participatory learning experiences and spaces in museums and cultural institutions with considerable foot traffic. The Library requires a contractor with extensive experience in providing onsite production and installation of media programs, equipment and hardware, as well as expertise in system design, prototyping, audio engineering, and integration with existing digital networks, security protocols, and historic building infrastructure.��All areas will include A/V programs.��Performance of the contract requirements includes understanding, coordinating, and testing of all A/V and interactive programs, the�physical needs of each program for proper presentation, specification and purchase of all equipment and hardware, delivery and�installation of all equipment and hardware, commissioning, on site troubleshooting, and, post-delivery/maintenance handoff to LOC maintenance staff or subsequent vendor. Questions are due by 12:00 Noon EST on January 27, 2023.� Responses to questions will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. Proposals are due by 12:00 Noon EST on February 17, 2023. Amendment 0001 provides a revised Attachment J-4.� Revised Attachment J-4 - Amendment 0001 replaces the previously issued Attachment J-4. Amendment 0002 provides a revised Statement of Work, a revised Attachment J-2, and Attachment J-7 Responses to Offeror Questions.� This Attachment J-2 replaces the previously issued Attachment J-2.
