- 1. Purpose THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.� REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.�� The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska intends to award a firm-fixed price, sole-source procurement action to IRadimed Corporation for a 3880Q Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Patient-Side Monitor.�� This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is pursuant to FAR PART 10 in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources to perform installation/upgrade medical equipment and determine if this effort can be competitive. �This is not a Request for Quote�(or solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research.� No funds are available to fund the information solicited. The Government will use this information to determine the best future acquisition strategy for this procurement.� 2.� Program Information 673 ABW/MDG is in need of replacement/upgrade of an existing obsolete Datex-Ohmeda N-MRI2�MRI safe patient monitor. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and any other necessary items and services necessary to accomplish the installation/upgrade. This contract will include a one year warranty. MRI Patient Monitoring System: �Equipment is required to monitor the vital signs of critical patients as well as sedated/anesthetized patients during MRI procedures.� The small size of a MRI monitor is preferred to enable a single person to evacuate the patient from the MRI in a code event, evacuating the patient quickly. 3. Capabilities Description� The MRI Patient Monitoring System salient characteristics include safety, emergency response and monitoring characteristics and are listed below.� Safety Characteristics: �a) Unit must have FDA 510k clearance, b) Audible and visual system alarms,�c) Operational in a 30,000 gauss static magnetic field, d) Accessories must be latex and DEHP free, and�e) Prioritized messages and alerts. � Emergency Response Characteristics: �a) Portable design weighing less than 10 lbs., b) Instant On boot up in less than 4 seconds, c) Capnography warm up less than 5 seconds, d) Agent warm up less than 20 seconds and e) Mount to a patient�s bed rail and/or IV Pole.� Monitoring Characteristics:� a) Color touchscreen interface, b) Integrated Masimo SpO2 technology�c) does not cause any MRI image artifacts, d) Handheld wireless control room display,�e) Wireless ECG and SpO2 with 12 hours battery operation, f) Neonatal � Adult patient size, and�g) Respiration flow rate of less than 80 ml/min The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334516, which has a corresponding Size Standards in Number of Employees: 1,000.� Please e-mail your response to the following primary address:� robin.cole-barden.1@us.af.mil, no later than 4:00 pm (Alaska Standard Time), 16 February 2023�(see attachment for additional details).� Thank you.
