Description
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is seeking product information and sources capable of providing products described below. The purpose of this notice is to gather capabilities and market information pertinent for acquisition planning. The responses to this Sources Sought will contribute to determining the method of procurement and identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME This Sources Sought does not constitute a request for quotes. Submission of any information in response to this Sources Sought is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The Department of Veterans Affairs is contemplating issuing a solicitation resulting in the award of a single contract for the purchase of mobile medical units (MMU), which will include procurement of base vehicles, purchase/installation of medical equipment, and vinyl wrapping vehicles using VA supplied graphics. The requirement is not brand specific, but shall be similar to the following: 21 Foot Mercedes Sprinter Extended 3500 Cargo Van High Roof (15 each) The Contractor shall provide 15 each, 21-foot Sprinter High Roof (non-CDL) MMUs. Each MMU will come as a minimum standard vehicle manufacturer s warranty for the chassis, motor, and mechanical systems. Each unit is a diesel-powered, motor vehicle that will be utilized as a MMU for delivery of outreach and medical care. Base color is white. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) must be below 26,000 lbs. as vehicles will be operated by staff without a Commercial Driver s License. No sinks are needed for these units. A. The preferred vehicle base color is white. The graphics will cover the majority of the vehicle. Each MMU will come as a minimum standard vehicle manufacturer s warranty for the chassis, motor, and mechanical systems. Each unit is a diesel-powered, motor vehicle that will be utilized as a HPACT MMU for delivery of outreach and medical care. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) must be below 26,000 lbs. as vehicles will be operated by staff without a Commercial Driver s License. A. Capabilities Statement and Market Information - no more than three pages Please respond to the following questions by providing a capabilities statement and market information: Please describe your organization's experience working with Government agencies on similar requirements. Please describe your organization's expertise/competency in providing similar vehicles. Please describe your organization's capabilities to provide vehicles prior to the need date September 29, 2023. If your organization cannot meet the need date, what delivery schedule could be accommodated? Please provide estimated pricing information. Would you propose other NAICS for these products? Please include any additional information that may not be covered from the above referenced questions you deem relevant for the Government to know, or be aware of, about your firm, services and industry overall (i.e., best in class practices in the marketplace) that may assist the Government in developing a Performance Work Statement(s) and determining the best procurement vehicle(s), and contract structure(s).
