Description
Background: On January 12th, 2023, a tornado swept through the Temporary Housing Storage Site (THSS) located in Selma, Alabama causing significant damage to the site which included the destruction of structured tents which housed site equipment. Now said equipment is exposed to the elements and there is an immediate need for a new temporary tent structure to house the equipment until a new permanent steel structured metal storage building can be erected. A Large Area Maintenance Structure (LAMS) Tent is currently being procured through the means of an Interagency Reimbursable Work Agreement (IRWA) with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), however there is also a separate need for the new LAMS Tent to be installed as DLA will not be performing this task. Objective: Procure installation services through means of a firm-fixed price contract with a private vendor to install/assemble the Large Area Maintenance Structure (LAMS) Tent at Selma THSS located at 661 Selfield Road, in Selma, Alabama. Scope of Work / Specifications: Install/assemble a large area maintenance shelter (195�x85�), Type A with retractable Tri-lid Eyelid doors, allowing for full-width entries when open, which will be utilized for storing strike team equipment, siding, tires, and materiel to repair manufactured houses and travel trailers. The vendor must meet all the requirements listed below: License and Insurance: Contractor/Vendor must have a any applicable license as well as be insured to perform all work in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Experience: Contactor/Vendor must have relative experience in large shelter/tent installation. Tools and Equipment: Contractor/Vendor must supply their own tools and equipment to perform installation using the parts supplied by the site/government furnished along with the LAMS Tent that has been purchased which include: (1) Aluminum Frame with (2) full-width (Tri-Lid) eyelid doors, (1) Fabric Cover Kit, (2) Personnel Doors (Composite, Single), (1) LAMS Electrical/Lighting Kit (8-LED Lights / 16-outlets / 1-Panel Box), 2 Ventilators (External/Electric), (1) LAMS Installation tool kit, (2) 40� ISO Shipping Containers Setup/Installation Timeframe: Installation setup time shall not exceed 576-man hours. Delivery Schedule: Period of Performance is thirty (30) days from the time of award to FEMA Selma THSS, 661 Selfield Rd, Selma AL 36703.
