Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee extension modification to contract N00019-21-C-0016 to General Atomics � Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services supporting United States Marine Corps (USMC) MQ-9 Reaper air vehicles and a Dual Control Mobile Ground Control Station (DCMGCS).� This extension will provide integrated logistics support, maintenance services and sustainment engineering services to ensure the air vehicles and DCMGCS are mission capable for a six month period in accordance with FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. Award of this action is anticipated by July 2023. Contract N00019-21-C-0016 was awarded to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. on 29 July 2021 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), ""only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement"" for the procurement of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the MQ-9 Reapers, Dual Control Mobile Ground Control Station (DCMGCS), and associated equipment. Without the highly specialized services provided by GA-ASI, the United States Marine Corps� would be unable to operate and maintain the MQ-9 Reaper air vehicles and its associated ground components in the necessary timeframe. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
