Description
The High Lift Cylinder is part of the High Lift Adaptor (HLA) Assembly with 2 high lift cylinders per assembly and is part of the Assault Breacher Vehcile (ABV). These high lift cylinders raise and lower the HLA Cross shaft as to which the Front End Equipment (FEE) connects and disconnects to. Without these high lift cylinders, the FEE would not be able to have physical interface with the HLA Assembly, thus the FEE not being able to connect to the ABV. The Government currently does not have a Technical Data Package (TDP) to purchase this part from other than the current source(s). Only Pearson Engineering Limited (CAGE: K0824) has the requisite technical and engineering expertise to perform all efforts required to provide the supplies and services identified for this item. A substitute item can't be used without prior approval by TACOM. It is a critical item of the Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV) and must meet the requirements specific to its intended function. This item is a survivability item and critical for Soldier safety. PLEASE NOTE: - This notice is not an open solicitation i.e., Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). - Technical data is not available for this item. - Qualification testing and evaluation is required to become an approved source. - Source approval does not guarantee business. - Qualifying as an approved source only provides the opportunity to compete on future solicitations.
