Description

Eielson AFB Alaska intends to award a contract for the following work. An official solicitation will be posted in the near future to sam.gov. This notice serves to fulfull the publicizing Contract Actions requirement of Far part 5.� The purpose of this project is to design and replace the generators, fuel storage tanks, and automatic transfer switches. Overall, this comprises the pouring of concrete pads to support the double walled, belly tank equipped generator (40kW 120/208 VAC) at each station, the anchoring of the new generator, the mounting of the automatic transfer switches, and double throw for bypass capability. Also included is the running of schedule 80/box connectors and pulling new cable to tie the facility into the generator, coordinating any environmental or air quality support, and an initial load test and acceptance. Furthermore, asphalt cutting and repair to run the underground cable and conduit will need to be included. This will be a total small business set aside. The Air Force is operating under a Class Brand Name Justification and only brand name CUMMINS generators will be used in this project.
