- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT (SS) NOTICE ONLY, NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS SUCH. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this notice, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purpose only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information for vendors that can provide the required instrumentation, reagents, installation, training, service, and connectivity. The South Central VA Health Care Network (VISN 16) will be soliciting for the award of a single firm-fixed price Cost Per Rest (CPT) VISN-wide BPA (Blanket Purchase Agreement) for a base year beginning July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 and 4, one-year options for automated Blood Culture analysis instrumentation and reagents. VISN 16 covers VA Medical Centers in Arkansas (Little Rock and Fayetteville), Louisiana (New Orleans, Shreveport and Alexandria), Mississippi (Biloxi and Jackson) and Texas (Houston). Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required equipment, services and capability to provide said service. Potential sources shall submit: Business name, address, point of contact and phone number Business size, any applicable socio-economic category and DUNS number Information for recent/relevant projects similar in nature/size and complexity along and contract number(s), Capability statement and product literature demonstrating ability to meet all of the requirements listed The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; size standard is 1,000 employees Requirements: Contractor shall provide CPT blood culture bottle pricing for automated blood culture instrumentation, reagents, consumables, installation, training, preventative maintenance, service, troubleshooting and interfacing to the VA VistA Laboratory Information System (LIS) capable of meeting all of the following: Fully automated Instrumentation and testing shall be FDA approved and validated for blood culture analysis Operating system software shall be currently sold and supported by software manufacturer Instrument capable of printing a report with patient demographics to an external printer Technical assistance center (hot line) available by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days per week with a maximum response call back time of 1 hour Instrument training, preventative maintenance and emergency repair 8 hours a day, 5 days per week Assistance with method performance correlation studies and statistical analysis of data Provide hardware and software for interfacing through Data Innovations to the VA VistA LIS Bi-directional bar-coded computer interface to the LIS A UPS with surge suppressor/line conditioner with each instrument/piece of equipment All-inclusive CPT pricing The system shall provide self-contained, continuous, computerized, automated monitoring of blood culture bottles The reading chambers must be modular in nature allowing for the isolation of a given problem without having to shut down the entire system. System tracks blood culture bottle location, incubation time and other pertinent information. System provides detailed epidemiology reports.
