- The purpose of this Sources Sought/RFI is to conduct market research in order to determine whether responsible sources exist and if this effort can be executed through a competitive process. This Sources Sought/RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought/RFI or any follow up information requests. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290 Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. The size standard to be considered small for this is 750 employees. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 36.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects this project is projected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Air Force is seeking solutions to the following criteria for a base-wide radio Fire alarm reporting system for Hanscom AFB. The system must function using two-way radio alarm multiplex system and must be able to integrate with existing addressable and conventional fire alarm control panels at existing 100+ protected premises without requiring substantial rework to the existing building systems. All transceivers must have a minimum of four zones and must be expandable such that existing signals at each building can continue to be transmitted to receiving station(s). The system must include a fully redundant primary and secondary receiving station, and three client workstations. The Transmission frequency will be determined by the Air Force. Must be able to transmit in VHF or UHF ranges. Available frequency ranges of product should be identified, with narrowband transmission being a requirement. All components must be UL or FM listed to comply with UFC and UFGS requirements. Mass Notification must be integral to the system and receiving equipment must include mass notification. Where mass notification systems exist in protected premise buildings, they must communicate with new receiving equipment via new transmitter. Receiving equipment must tie-in to the existing Giant Voice Wide Area Mass Notification system.
