- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing a Notice of Intent for a Sole Source the award of a firm fixed price contract with Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing Madison, Inc. The Military Nutrition Division (MND) of US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) has an ongoing research initiative entitled the Ration Analysis Program that aims to accurately catalog the nutritional composition of the current ration components available for purchase and consumption by Warfighters both in theater and during training scenarios. The contractor will provide chemical analytical services to include the sample preparation, weighing of package contents, and chemical food analysis of samples (pre storage, post storage, vitamin D, amino acid profile, and omega fatty acid profiles) provided by USARIEM of Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) XXXIII and Unitized Group Ration-Express (UGR-E)/Heat and Serve (H&S) in 2 Phases. Estimated Total Dollar Value including Options: $673,013.70 Contract ceiling for five-year ordering period. In accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1)(i), EUROFINS FOOD CHEMISTRY TESTING MADISON, INC. is the sole source for satisfying this requirement.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541380 and FSC Q301.� Proposed solicitation number: HT9425-23-R-0004. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a). USAMRAA intends to publish a solicitation no sooner than 15 days after publishing this synopsis. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as brand name only.
