- This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2�Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. The Library of Congress (LC), Contracts and Grants Directorate, intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to Atlas Material Testing Technology, LLC, 1500 Bishop Ct, Mount Prospect Il 60056-6039. The work to be performed under the contract will be performed at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.� The period of performance shall run for about 12 months, with the possibility of an additional 12-month option period. The Library will contract with Atlas Material Testing Technology, LLC, an entity that developed and services their proprietary equipment. The contractor shall provide an on-site comprehensive maintenance agreement for the Atlas Material Testing Solutions Weatherometer model CI4000 (serial # 19763) and includes semi-annual preventative maintenance and calibration visits, and consumable parts supply package. Only Atlas certified engineers are authorized to perform the services. The following attachments are included in this notice: Attachment 1: Statement of Work Attachment 2: Sole Source Justification (Redacted for Public Release) This is not a request for quotes or proposals. This announcement constitutes the only notice, quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.� Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. Responses to this notice must demonstrate evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission of the Library of Congress. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. Please note: the government is not considering ""pass through"" businesses.
