Description: Water rights will be acquired under the Rio Grande Canalization Project Environmental Water Transaction Program. the pirpose of the program is to acquire water rights (either surgace or ground water) from willing sellers to support up to 30 riparian habitat restoration sites in accordance with USIBWC's 2009 Record of Decision for the River Management Alternatives for the Rio Grand Canalization Project. The USIBWC Rio Gran Canalizatoin Project stretches from Percha Dam in Sierra County, New Mexico downstream to American Dam in El Paso County, Texas.
