Description
The Procurement Innovation Lab (PIL) is pleased to present thePIL Fiscal Year 2022 Yearbook - https://www.dhs.gov/publication/pil. This Yearbook highlights the many innovation journeys that procurement teams at DHS and our federal government partners took in 2022.Just as there is no one road to adventure, there isnt just one road to innovation! We highly encourage you to take a moment to read the Yearbook to see how teams have mapped their innovation journeys as they continuously work to improve how the Government does business. This years Yearbook features new statistics not previously featured thanks to the modernization of our data collection and analysis tools. It also includes a new innovation called Share Evaluation Documentation which further encourages transparency with vendors. There are also many interactive links, resources, and stories from teams across both DHS and other government agencies. ?This is the first year the PIL Yearbook has been used to meet the reporting requirements of the newly enacted Promoting Rigorous and Innovative Cost Efficiencies for Federal Procurement and Acquisitions Act of 2021 (PRICE Act of 2021). Placed throughout the Yearbook are designated markers highlighting PRICE Act of 2021 reporting requirements reflecting to how teams who stepped into the PIL used innovative procurement techniques to: 1) improve and encourage competition, 2) reduce time to award, 3) provide cost savings, 4) provide better mission outcomes, and 5) meet the goals for contracts awarded to small business concerns. Although we could not showcase them all, we want to acknowledge the many procurement teams and support personnel who contributed to the success of the projects represented in the Yearbook. The results prove that we are on a great path for continued success. Happy reading!
