- 24 Page 1 of 4 02/21/2023 This is a Sources Sought for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. There is no RFQ available at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Office (VARO) Providence, RI has a requirement to lease postal mailing system equipment to include maintenance and repair service. We are conducting market research to determine the existence of companies that can perform the following: The contractor shall provide and install new postal mailing equipment. POSTAGE METER AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Equipment is to be of the latest technologies associated with mail processing. VBA will lease only new, unused, non-refurbished, non-remanufactured, mail system equipment. This applies to all components of the equipment, replacement parts, associated accessories, and supplies. 120 letters per minute or better while using weight and size-based metering based on 1oz #10 envelopes, 60 letter per minute or better in batch mode based on 1oz #10 envelopes, Max envelope thickness feed, processing and sealing of at least 5/8 or better, 15 high resolution monitor with touchscreen input capability, Wireless keyboard, Integrated weighing platform to accommodate 70lbs, Drop stacker, Department of Veterans Affairs Providence Regional Office/304 Mail Meter Machine, S & M, and Meter Rental Statement of Work Web accounting capabilities, Integrated USPS Intelligent Mail Package Barcode (IMpb) label printer, The equipment and associated technology must be able to take advantage of full service IMpb through the USPS, including commercial based pricing discounts, providing end to end tracking information, status updates from every scan point, free insurance on priority mail, and priority mail express, and maintain compliance with all future USPS features, products, and services directly through the mail machine without having to connect a separate PC to the network, Equipment and associated technology must meet US Federal Government Mandate for IPv6 compliance, Equipment and associated technology must meet US VA Mandate to be SFTTP. Any interested and qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business sources are requested to provide a brief capability statement and a letter of interest to the contracting officer Eural Bennett via email to eural.bennett1@va.gov. As part of your capability statement please include any current or past contracts, the ability to provide equipment that meets our Agencies minimum specifications. In addition, include what socio-economic category your company qualifies as (i.e. small business, SBA certified HUB Zone, SBA certified small disadvantage business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, and Women Owned Business). Any information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. To be considered in this research, please provide the information above not later than 2:00 CST on February 27, 2023.
