The anticipated NAICS code is: 541519 Other Computer Related Services. A brief synopsis of the required product is provided below: A requirement for ALERTUS system that provides a true Mass Notification System (MNS) which integrates multiple modalities that include text-to-speech modules for facility overhead paging, cable television override, desktop alert, scrolling marquees, and local alert beacons, among others. This ""one-button"" approach provides a consistent, pre-scripted message which will be delivered uniformly across the entire campus. Personal alerting such as cellular, computer pop-ups, email, and auto-dialers are classified as Layer 2 because such methods are ""not immediate and intrusive."" Additionally, an effective MNS should be able to be initiated very rapidly from multiple areas with many redundant layers; ALERTUS enables multi-point panic alarm activation from the desktop client and system activation from the admin web interface.
