Description
Statement of Need Fire Service Bullard NXT Thermal Imaging Cameras Project Scope: The Coatesville VA Medical Center requires two (2) Brand Name Only Bullard NXT Thermal Imager Cameras. The requested items must meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1801 Standard and be certified for the Coatesville VAMC Fire Department, located at 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320. Background: The Bullard NXT Thermal Imager Cameras are required to assist the fire department in locating victims during fires when visibility is affected. When one s visibility is near or at zero feet the only other means to find potential victims is through sense of touch, which isn t the most reliable method for finding victims. The thermal imagers can be used to search for lost or missing Veterans that may have lost their way on the VA Medical Center property. The cameras will also be used for locating heat sources during investigations to determine odors or visible smoke when a fire is in its initial stages. The fire department is equipped with Bullard NXT Thermal Imager Cameras, purchasing additional cameras will allow for quick familiarization of the purchased equipment, chargers for this equipment are mounted in the fire apparatus and in the fire department. Tasks and Deliverables: The selected vendor will deliver two (2) Bullard NXT Thermal Imager Cameras (color red) to the Coatesville VAMC located at 1400 Blackhorse Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320. The purchased items will have the following characteristics: Be new with batteries that allow up to 8 hours of continuous use. Electronic Thermal Throttle software, an investigative tool to automatically isolate temperatures of interest to identify pre and post fire hazards. 2X and 4X digital zoom, allows users to get close up images for areas of concern. 5 Year warranty included for thermal imager and battery, with 48 hour guaranteed warranty repair turnover. Product made in United States. NFPA 1801 compliant Compliant for us in NEC/CEC Class 1, Division 2, Groups C and D hazardous locations, NEC/CEC Class II Division 2, Groups F and G hazardous locations. Will weigh no more than 2.5 pounds. Able to withstand a 78 inch drop and exposure to 350 degrees for a minimum of 15 minutes. Delivery and Installation: The purchased items will be made to the Coatesville VAMC Warehouse, Building 13, Coatesville, PA 19320. Delivery should be between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm Monday-Friday. The warehouse is equipped with a lift gate.
