- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice. THIS IS NOT A REQUST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) OR REQUST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) BUT FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The National Institute of Standards and Technology anticipates a requirement that is being considered under the small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems Code (NAICS) proposed is 722310. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS is $47M. The possible requirement is to provide Cafeteria and Conference Catering Services to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Gaithersburg, MD Campus. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the service providers performing the services herein.� Such service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the required services at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD Campus. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this order.���� The attached DRAFT Statement of Objectives outlines the expectations for the required services. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e., annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or small business, 8(a), and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines the firm�s capabilities in providing the required services. Firms working with the Federal Government are required to be registered in SAM.gov to receive an award. Contractor is required to provide all management and labor required for the operation and management of the required services. The capabilities package should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements, particularly for a large campus with many buildings. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision.
