Description
The Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC), Salem, Virginia is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for Ramp Replacement Building 12 & 16, Project # 658-23-103. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Constructions. A site visit will be conducted on March 15, 2023, @ 10:00 AM EST at the Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Building 74 (front-side), Salem, Virginia 24153 for interesting parties. The project is a design/build that will include all necessary elements as needed to demolish or remove the existing pedestrian ramps and stairs, patch the interface between the existing structures and their interface with adjacent structures, and construct new permanent pedestrian ramps and stairs at each location. Bldg. 12 concrete pedestrian ramp located on the north-eastern side of the building Bldg. 16 temporary metal pedestrian ramp and concrete stairs THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: Firm s name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and business size and type of ownership for the organization. Is your firm currently registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) formerly known as the Center Contractor s Registration (CCR) database? If not, has it been registered, or does it plan to register? In consideration of NAICS code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small size standard in dollars of $45M, which of the following small business categories is your firm classified under, if any? Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, or 8(a) Business. Is your firm capable of performance and Payment bonds for a project valued between $250,000 and $500,000? Does your firm have experience working at a Medical Center? If so, how many years of experience? Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity: 1) Provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. 2) Secure and apply the full range of corporate finance, human capital, and technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements. 3) Implement a successful project management plan that includes compliance with tight program schedules; cost containment; meeting and tracking performance; hiring and retention of key personnel and risk mitigations. At this time there is no set-aside determination established for this need. This procurement is open to small businesses.
