- W9123823R0021 MOTCO Wharf 2 East Trestle Repairs The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for the MOTCO Wharf 2 East Trestle Repairs construction project Project Description: MOTCO Wharf 2 East Trestle Repairs The scope of the Wharf 2 East Trestle Comprehensive Repairs project includes: 1) Repair of existing spall damage to concrete structure.� Spalls include open, exposed rebar, and closed spalls.� Spalls must be cleaned and prepped to clean concrete, then repaired/patched. 2) Strengthening modification of the trestle decking.� Strengthening is to be accomplished by the addition of concrete in-fill beams to the southernmost lane of travel at approximately 50 stations.� Infill beams will be joined to the existing structure with rebar joiners and concrete grouting.� 3) Replacement of deteriorated light poles providing overhead illumination to the east trestle.� Six light poles are to be replaced due to structural deterioration of the steel light poles and concrete bases.� Replacement includes new light poles, new mounting bases or modifications to the existing bases, fixtures, and required electrical work to energize the light fixtures. �The majority of the work will take place over water underneath the deck structure. The over water work window will be tidal influenced and limited to 6 � 8 hours per day. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.� This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction). The size standard is $36.5M.� Product Service Code is Y1LB (Construction of Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways Services). The solicitation will proceed as a 100% small business set-aside and is estimated to be issued on or about 14 Mar 2023 with proposals due tentatively on 14 Apr 2023.�� The RFP will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as SAM.gov and will establish a firm proposal due date/time. If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation. BE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELLED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE PRE-SOLICITATION, SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. The only INTERESTED VENDORS LISTS (plan-holder's/bidder's list) is available via SAM.gov.� Contractors are responsible for self-identifying as interested vendors and viewing other interested vendors.� Contractors should check SAM.gov frequently for any changes to the interested vendors list and notice. PLEASE DO NOT request a copy of the solicitation, or draft plans and specifications, as they are not currently available. Any available technical data required to respond to the solicitation will be furnished as part of the solicitation. Following solicitation release, all responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency.
