Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of The Program Manager for Towed Artillery Systems (PM-TAS), proposes to award a new sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) delivery orders for eTALIN II 6000 Inertial Navigation Units (INU) in support of Location Azimuth Determining System (LADS). This solicitation is for the eTALIN II 6000 INU in support of LADS will be awarded on a sole source basis to Honeywell International Inc. 13350 US Highway 19 North Clearwater, FL 33764- 7290 in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1); as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This contract will provide users increased accuracy in position, location, and navigation. The INU is a necessary part of providing users this capability. The INU shall determine position (latitude, longitude, and altitude) and attitude (azimuth, elevation, and cant) and include Vehicle Motion Sensor (VMS) integration and all mounting provisions needed for attaching, aligning, and isolating (if required) to meet the requirements. The INU shall be aided by an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and must also be capable of operating in a degraded fashion without GPS aiding.
