- Description
- NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC) has a requirement for the Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) and Other Systems contract. NASA ARC operates and manages the ASRS and other safety reporting systems that are modeled to function as voluntary, independent, confidential systems in aviation and railroad transportation. The ASRS operates under an Interagency Agreement (IAA) with the Department of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). NASA/ARC intends to extend Contract NNA16BD58C for ASRS with Booz Allen Hamilton on a sole-source basis to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose for the extension is necessary to continue on-going mission critical work, pending placement of a follow-on contract. The period of performance will be extended for up to 12 months, consisting of a 10-month base period and 2 one-month option periods. The period of performance will be extended from May 9, 2023, through May 8, 2024, if all options are exercised. The extension will increase the current contract value. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Shane Chapman, Contract Specialist at shane.p.chapman@nasa.gov no later than 12:00PM PST on March 13, 2023.
