- Description
- The proposed procurement does contain an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration shall not exceed 5 years (one three-year base period and two one-year options). This proposed procurement is for NSN 4330012149303, PARTS KIT, FLUID PRESSURE FILTER. Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items under FAR 13.5 are Applicable. Solicitation SPE7MX23RX030 will be used to establish an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) approximately five years in length for one three-year base period with two one-year option periods. The Contracting Officer has determined this item will be solicited unrestricted with other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This item has an AMC/AMSC of 1/C, which means they are suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or�subsequent time, which means this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery and past performance.� Subcontracting plans are required from large businesses. This item is subject to DFARS 252.225-7021 TRADE AGREEMENTS (MAR 2022)
