- Description
- NASA/ARC intends to extend Contract 80ARC018D0008, Technical Services for Aerospace Systems Modeling and Simulation (SimLabs) III, with Metis Flight Research Associates, LLC (MFRA) on a sole source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and�FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The period of performance will be extended for six months from June 1, 2023 through�November 30, 2023. � The extension will increase the current contract value. The extension is necessary to provide critical on-going support for the NASA/ARC�Simulation Facilities pending placement of the competitive follow-on contract. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� Nevertheless, interested organizations may submit�in writing their capabilities and qualifications to perform this�proposed procurement action to the identified point of contact�no later than 3:00 pm PST�on March 16, 2023.� All responsible sources may submit their capabilities/ qualifications�which�shall be considered by the agency.� Such capabilities/ qualifications will be evaluated�solely for the purposes of determining�whether or not to conduct this procurement action�on a competitive basis.� A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement�within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
