Good Day, The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 is conducting Market Research through this sources sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses able to provide 23 weight-based pressure redistribution mattresses for Fayetteville VAMC for hospice patients with the following characteristics: Specifications: Mattresses shall be compatible with the Fayetteville VAMC Hill-Rom VersaCare frames. Internal research has determined that mattresses with the following dimensions are compatible with the bed frames. The vendor will be expected to view the bed frames and make any modifications to the mattresses to ensure proper fit to the bed frames. Surface width (inflated) 35.5"" Surface length (inflated) 84"" Surface height (inflated) 8 Surface weight - less than 48lbs Recommended therapeutic occupant weight range 70 lb to 500 lb Recommended therapeutic occupant height range 4' 11"" to 6' 2"" Surface safe working load 500 lb Environmental Conditions: Temp. 59 to 104 Fahrenheit and relative humidity range 10 to 90% Technology: The Government is seeking a weight-based pressure redistribution mattress with the following technology: Seeking similar technology that allows for the decreased localized heat and moisture buildup between the patient and mattress surface. Antimicrobial surface that is resistant to odor causing bacteria on the surface. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) control unit that allows for CPR and control unit will need to be easily detached for patient transport in tight areas. Out of bed alarm and head alarm that monitors the angle of head section which alarms if head section goes below 30 degrees. Alarm shall have the ability to be silenced. Turn Assist technology. Warranty and Replacement Mattresses shall come with manufacturers warranty. Vendor shall have the logistical ability to send a technician to correct any defects or breakdowns covered under warranty within 24 hours of initial call to service center. If mattress is unable to be repaired within 24 hours the vendor will be expected to provide a rental/replacement mattress to the Government within 48 hours. Any interested vendor shall have an OEM service center within 100 miles of Fayetteville VAMC located at 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville VAMC 28301. All respondents shall indicate the following: Whether or not they are small business manufacturers of the products they wish to offer, or Whether or not they are distributors of a small business manufacturer. Whether their product is on a federal supply schedule or open market. Failure to provide the above information may result in the potential offeror being considered incapable of meeting the VA s needs If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable. If the contractor can provide the above product and services, please indicate in your response that the above requirements can be met and provide a brochure of its product. The capability statements received from this market research are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research.
