Description

Sole Source Intent:� The United States Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Yuma Proving Ground, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas Corp. (UEI F28HDPCVHEL8) located at 48 Woerd Ave, Waltham, MA, 02453.� This requirement will be procured using the acquisition procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will be in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items FAC 2023-01, effective 30 December 2022. Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) has a requirement for purchase for Phase Array Ultrasonic system that shall be used to conduct precision thickness measurements and detect precisely bore surface stress corrosion cracks, mid-wall cracks, time of flight crack sizing, and total focusing method on steel & composite gun barrels and self-propelled vehicle structure welds. This system will support the non-destructive testing (NDT) capability of the Metrology & Simulation Division. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. �If you feel your firm possesses the ability to meet these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements no later than 12:00 PM MST 14 March 2023.
