Description
NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for Aqueous�Cleaning System with Vacuum Cycle Nucleation. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA/MSFC is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including all socioeconomic categories of Small Businesses and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI), and members of the underserved communities as defined by Executive Order 13985, Advancing Racial Equity And Support For Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government, for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for Aqueous�Cleaning System with Vacuum Cycle Nucleation. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Women-owned (WOSB), Service Disabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-owned Small Business (EDWOSB) or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses received. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. Interested firms are responsible for monitoring this website for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. Minimum specifications for the Aqueous�Cleaning System with Vacuum Cycle Nucleation: 1 - Aqueous�Cleaning System with Vacuum Cycle Nucleation 1- Chiller 1- Crating and Freight 1- Onsite personnel for System Start-Up and Training 1- Manuals and Documentation The� Aqueous�Cleaning System with Vacuum Cycle Nucleation meets the following requirements: � Accommodates a 16� x 16� x 24� H 3D printed build plate, with variable depths of solvent selected by the operator. Load capacity up to 300 lbs. � Adequate chamber capacity to allow expansion up to 50% vapor liquid mixture. � Heaters on all four sides of the chamber and on the bottom of the chamber for uniform heating throughout up to 165 �F (74 �C). � A 200 cubic feet per minute (cfm) or better dry vacuum pump, to pump down to a vacuum level of 150 torr or better, for adequate cycle time of less than 30 minutes for cleaning and no danger of backstreaming pump oil onto clean parts. � Solvent is filtered and recycled for re-use. Filtering is required during the cleaning process to ensure particles are prevented from reentering the part or hardware. � Rinse fluid is separate from cleaning solvent. � Option for heated air drying, to ensure complete drying for certain parts. � 480 Volt AC 3 Phase, 60 Cycle, 125 AMPS utilities. � Meets safety standards for pinch points, entrapment, and containment of solvent and rinse fluids. � Supports the sole use of aqueous cleaning agents with the following conditions: � � � � � � � � o Approved for use on aerospace parts. � � � � � � � � o pH not to exceed 11 or fall below 3. � � � � � � � � o Low to non-foaming. � � � � � � � � o Contain no volatile organic compound components. � � � � � � � � o Contain no flammable chemicals
