- Description
- The Government is conducting market research and identifying, as potential sources, companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements of a contract supporting the United States Air Force, at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The B-52 Cryptographic Modernization program is seeking information on potential interested and qualified providers to build to design attachment structures and electronic switching devices in accordance with the relevant MIL-STDs to support installation of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) line replaceable units (LRU) for a communications system upgrade to the B-52 aircraft. Participation in this request is limited to DoD and U.S. DoD Contractors only. Small businesses are encouraged to participate in this RFI. The B-52 Cryptographic Modification program is upgrading the Combat Network Communications Technology (CONECT) system of the B-52 bomber. New military qualified communication devices (ARC-210 Gen 6 radios and peripherals) are being installed and require certain attachment structures, electronic switching devices and wire harnesses. The Air Force will provide necessary design information of these structure and electronic switches when able, if this RFI progresses to the next step with a request for proposal. Some of the work may require negotiating and entering into a Special License Agreement with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). See paragraph 5.0 for more details about the SLA. Please submit only electronic submissions to the U.S. Government through the primary and secondary POC's, who are the procuring contracting officer (PCO) and program manager (PM), respectively.
