Description
The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), intends to procure the following services: Commercial services required to disassemble, inspect, analyze and test, decontaminate, and package of US Navy (USN) radiologically controlled (RADCON) gas turbine assets. Due to operation in radiologically contaminated areas, specialized depot overhaul induction procedures are necessary to process potentially radiologically contaminated LM2500 Marine Gas Turbine (MGT) Single Shank Turbine (SST) Gas Generator Assemblies (GGA). Processing and handling of these assets requires additional licenses and special handling instructions as well as segregation of material and supporting equipment and a teardown and inspection area capable of processing potentially contaminated parts. Parts verified clear of contamination following inspections are then reintroduced into an authorized depot overhaul location. Parts verified contaminated shall continue to be handled in accordance with the contractors radiological control procedures. A detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS), for the required services, is included in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) document. Award of a Single, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract is intended. 100% of this procurement is set-aside for small business. See FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside.
