- Solicitation for the Layberthing of �2 Government Vessels PACIFIC COLLECTOR and PACIFIC TRACKER on either the US West Coast or the Island of Oahu, Hawaii of the United States Solicitation was modified 1/11/2023 to add section G, H, I, please see attachments for details. Solicitation Number: �693JF723B000002 This is a SOLICITATION; that solicits for proposals and bids and a contract will be awarded. The purpose of this solicitation is to alert the public that the Maritime Administration (MARAD), which is an agency of the United States Department of Transportation, intends to procure layberthing services for an exclusive use long-term safe layberth for 2 Government vessels PACIFIC COLLECTOR and PACIFIC TRACKER.� The geographic area of consideration for this solicitation is on either the U.S. West Coast or the Island of Oahu, Hawaii inclusive of navigable waterways that can support the safe berthing and navigation of the size vessel identified.� For potential sources located on inland waterways the distance to open waters must not exceed 150 miles. The primary bid for the solicitation will be one base year and 4 option years with an alternative bid for a base year and nine option years. The solicitation, which will be used for this procurement will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and it will be issued late October �2022; the IFB number will be: 693JF723B000002 �The bid-opening date is specified. In addition, MARAD will utilize a Firm Fixed Price Contract for the above-mentioned procurement. Award will be based on lowest price and date of facility availability. The period of performance of the ensuing contract will be: one 12-month Base Period and four 12-month Option Periods or one 12-month Base Period and nine 12-month Option Periods. The appropriate NAICS code for this procurement is 488390. Please be strongly advised that Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation; SAM�s website is as follows: http://www.sam.gov.
