- Description
- On behalf of Lt Gen Alexus G. Grynkewich, Commander, Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central), you are cordially invited to our AFCENT Innovation Day on 15 Feb 2023 at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The agenda will include a one day event, with an opportunity to host your company booth, and offer capabilities/solutions to the problem sets below (not in priority order): 1. Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) facilitates the full range of air operations in the US Central Command theater. Air Domain Awareness (ADA) and the ability to counter the full compendium of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) threats (Counter UAS) are guiding principles of IAMD. Currently ADA and CUAS are accomplished by numerous stove piped infrastructures and a non-integrated patchwork of systems contributing to a seam complicating command and control with respect to detection and engagement of Groups 1-3 UAS and Cruise Missiles. 2. 9 AF (AFCENT) requires an integrated, consolidated air picture which feeds a single application and is shareable among U. S. entities, allies and partners. 3. 9 AF (AFCENT) requires automated and modernized intelligence tools to support various aspects of the Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, and Assess (F2T2EA) process for Air Force and joint targeting; and to reduce manually intensive processes in favor of automated (and potentially augmented and artificial intelligence/machine learning) processes and technologies to speed kill chains. 4. 9 AF (AFCENT) requires lightweight, resilient, scalable, and open architecture solutions that leverage Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) technology and other technologies, while maintaining Department of Defense Cybersecurity requirements. Solutions should have the resiliency to maintain high availability in communications degraded or denied environments, and support distributed operations between CONUS and the US Central Command theater. 9 AF (AFCENT) requires capabilities/solutions to be data-centric solutions with open application programming interfaces (APIs). *Please provide industry solutions to the above problems via a capability statement(s) for problems 1 4. Due to venue space limitations, there can only be 20 booths and capability statements will be reviewed to determine which companies AFCENT approves to have a booth. Companies which are not approved to have a booth may still attend. Notifications to selected organizations will be made by 2 February 2023. *Additional information will be provided for those approved to have a booth concerning booth dimensions, location, and other pertinent details. Disclaimer: References to non-federal entities do not constitute or imply Department of Defense or Air Force endorsement of any company or organization Please RSVPby 26 Jan 23:https://einvitations.afit.edu/inv/index.cfm?i=717063&k=056045097D54 When: 15 Feb 2023, 0730-1700 Where: Carolina Skies Club, 487 Myers St, Shaw AFB, SC 29152 (agenda with finite location to be emailed one week prior to event) Optional Events: An AFCEA Luncheon (not official government work) will take place at the same location from 1130-1230.
