Description
The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate the same or similar experience to this project. This is not a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification, or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement, or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (Martin Luther King Jr National Historical Park (MALU) � Install Fire Suppression System and identify your socio-economic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, or Small Business). Your response is due no later than 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on March 22, 2023. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.�see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. All firms should be registered and certified in www.sam.gov. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park Install Fire Suppression System NAICS Code: 236220 � Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Estimated Cost Range: $500,000 - $1,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: May 2023 to January 2024 Project Description (Scope) The primary objective of the project is for the Installation of a dry pipe sprinkler system through the building, including the attic, porch, and under exterior eaves and roof gables. Dry pipe system must use a nitrogen generator system and both the N2 system and the dry pipe valve must be installed in cabinet assembly the dry pipe valve manufacturer manufactured and supplied at 497 and 503 Auburn Avenue Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park 501 Auburn Avenue, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia per the specification, drawings, and other supporting documents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Firms interested in the project should possess the following specialized skills and experience and address these specialized skills and experience in their responses to this Notice. 1) Experience performing the following work: a. Fire Protection and Fire Alarm Systems b. Construction of similar size and scope c. Electrical equipment and code compliance d. Operation and maintenance procedures and training in fire protection e. Knowledge with environmental regulations applicable to construction operations f. Experience working with historic properties (i.e., constructing, renovating, demolishing, etc.) 2) Relevance of Project Experience to this Project: a. Historic and Natural resource protection b. Construction experience on projects of similar size and scope c. Culturally Sensitive projects d. Knowledge and Experience (Preferred) of Secretary of the Interior�s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. 3) Furnishing Equipment for this project a. Contractor for equipment should be local and or have service available 24 hours b. Equipment controls shall not be proprietary in order to facilitate service and parts. (Demonstrate the ability to use non-proprietary means to adjust, trouble shoot and perform Code required Safety tests as outlined per the specification document) Bonding Capability Interested firms MUST provide a letter from their bonding company to confirm their bonding capacity. Site Visit Only one site visit will be offered for this opportunity, and the information shall be listed in the formal solicitation (Anticipated publish date: On or about 03 April 2023) when it is published to sam.gov.
