The purpose of the AFAP Program is to establish an enterprise-level automotive parts ordering system entitled Internet-Based Contractor Operated Parts Store (ICOPARS) to increase lethality, readiness, and standardization of automotive parts acquisition fleet wide. The information obtained from this Industry Day will assist the Government in understanding the capabilities available in the industry and inform the development of a way-ahead for 763 ESS to obtain products/services on behalf of the 441st Vehicle Support Chain Operation Squadron. Additionally, the market research will assist the Government in determining which acquisition vehicle and approach will best meet the requirements as identified by the mission partners. For the Air Force Auto Parts requirement, the contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision and any items and services necessary to operate an Internet-based Contractor Operated Parts Store (ICOPARS). The basic concept of an ICOPARS requires a contractor provided/managed Internet software program that enables personnel in the field to place/track vehicle parts/tool purchase requests and identify the parts/tools as received with minimal effort. The contractor shall be responsible for determining the part number when not provided, selecting the correct vendor, procurement of the part, shipping/tracking, and other associated tasks designated in the Statement of Work (SOW) (Attachment 1). The contractor shall furnish automotive and related vehicle parts, automotive chemicals, corrosion control materials, upholstery material, and accessories for approximately 9,500 vehicles/equipment located at 47 Air Force bases in the Continental United States. Specialized tools may be purchased under this contract when approved by the Logistics Officer in Charge (LOIC) or the Wing Vehicle Fleet Manager (WVFM). Services for repair/rebuilding/remanufacturing are not authorized under this contract. EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION: An educational presentation will be provided by the 441 VSCOS to include detailed information regarding the Air Force Auto Parts (AFAP) Continental United States (CONUS) requirement. CAPABILITY BRIEFINGS: Potential contractors for the AFAP requirement will have an opportunity to provide Capability Briefings to representatives from the 441st Vehicle Support Chain Operation Squadron and the 763d Enterprise Sourcing Squadron. Capability Briefings will be held virtually from 11:30 � 4:30 P.M. CST and limited to 15-minute sessions. Only 5 representatives from each firm will be able to attend the session. As space is limited, capability briefs will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Advanced scheduling / registration is required. If interested in providing a Capability Briefing, please contact the point of contacts identified in this announcement. �Firms shall provide their capability packages at least 3 working days prior to scheduled meeting. Details regarding capability package submissions will be provided to those firms who receive a 15-minute time slot.
