- Solicitation No. W912EE23B0003 is for FC/MR&T, Yazoo River Basin, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, Upper Yazoo Projects, Item 7E, Channel Improvement. DESCRIPTION OF WORK:� The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and constructing the Upper Yazoo Projects, Item 7E Channel Improvement, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Principal features of work include mobilization and demobilization, channel excavation, disposal areas, disposal of excavated materials, clearing and grubbing, stone ditch outlet protection, erosion control, removing and replacing existing embankment, culvert installation, perform preconstruction channel surveys, and environmental protection features. Channel Improvement work under this contract is non-typical in that capable businesses shall possess a combination of heavy earth moving equipment including trackhoes, dirt-pans, dozers, articulated trucks capable of completing land-based channel excavation with maintenance of large disposal areas.� In addition to the land-based excavation the successful contractor will also be performing riverine hydraulic dredging of the Tallahatchie River channel.� ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� In accordance with DFARS 236.204(i), the construction magnitude of this project will be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.� The estimated period of performance for completion of construction is 455 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Government intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct discussion should it be deemed in the Government's best interest. The bids will be evaluated based on lowest price submitted.� The official solicitation, plans, and specifications are included in this announcement as attachments. Compact disc and hardcopies are not available. Telephone and Fax requests for this solicitation will not be honored. Project files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download the solicitation for this project, contractors are required to register at https://www.sam.gov/. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. Amendments, if/when issued, will be posted to the above referenced website for electronic downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments prior to closing; therefore, it is the Offerors responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation. Offerors must have and maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov and must include the NAICS code they are bidding under in order to receive a government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have a valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
