- Description
- VISN 04 COURIER SERVICE Solicitation# 36C24423Q0169 Amendment 0001 - Quoters Questions / Government Responses We would like to know if this is a brand new contract or if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. This is a new VISN 04 Courier contract. There is no incumbent contractor performing services under a current or previous VISN 04 Contract. Will we be transporting narcotics? Narcotics will not be transported. It is stated in the contract that Altoona, and Butler will not be participating but they are still on the price sheet, should we still fill in these amounts? I didn t know if that would be amended and a new price sheet need to be used? Yes, Altoona and Butler VA Medical Centers prices should be included in case they would want to participate in the future. For the Wilmington section it is not stated in the contract that a company vehicle is required for the route that has to have a van due to the size load, is a company van still going to be a requirement for that said route? In accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), all vehicles used for Courier service shall have company name/logo prominently displayed. A vehicle with adequate capacity is required for all routes. A van is currently used for Contract Line Item Number 0061. Reference PWS Section 3.0 for a list of Items to be transported under this contract. Reference PWS Section 4.0 for Additional Courier Restraints and Requirements. Will company vehicles be required for any of the routes? Do any of the routes require special Sterile Processing Services (SPS) requirements? If so, what routes require this? Vehicles used for courier service shall have company name/logo prominently displayed. No routes require special SPS requirements. How will individual sites who have existing facility level contracts for courier services begin using the new VISN courier contract? Once VAMCs current contracts are completed, then VAMCs will join this contract. For each location will they be providing all the necessary coolers, totes, mail bags, and money bags required or will we need to do so? If that is the case can we have the amount and everything required per location? VAMCs will provide the bags, coolers/containers, locks, and totes. For the Philadelphia location are all the as needed locations for stat pickups listed? Veterans home addresses are not listed; Philadelphia VAMC POC will provide as needed. What is the expected turnaround time from the time a stat call is placed for pickup? Within 1 hour unless specified. Will we be providing any refrigerants or dry ice for the routes? If so, what routes will need this and how many will be needed per route? No, VAMC will provide refrigerants and/or dry ice. Are you planning on awarding one contract or making multiple awards? We are planning to award one Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.
