Please review the designs in his entirety. And send back attatched SF1449 signed.� STATEMENT OF WORK. NARRIATIVE FOR VA PURCHASE OF PERMANENT FIRE PUMP Furnish new Permanent Fire Pump The design, materials, equipment, installation, inspection, and testing of the fire pump assembly complete shall be in accordance with the required provisions of NFPA 20, NFPA 37, and NFPA 70. Seismic Protection: Seismically brace all fire pump piping systems in accordance with NFPA 13 and NFPA 20. The manufacturer of the fire pump prefabricated house and diesel driven fire pump shall include: The building shall be self-framing design using the roof and walls as the primary structural support system. A two-hour rated construction shall be provided for the enclosure meeting NFPA 1, UL Listed / FM Approved Centrifugal Fire Pump. Diesel engine. 24-hour capacity fuel oil storge tank. Fire-pump accessories and specialties. A Vertical, Multistage Pressure-maintenance pump. Hose header supply per NFPA 20. Fire Department connection with ball-drip check valve. A UL Listed Fire Alarm Terminal Cabinet, listed electric gong, bell speaker-strobe. Controllers, accessories, and specialties to include: Controller for diesel-drive fire pump Controllers for pressure-maintenance pumps NEMA 4 Enclosures 208V/1 phase and 208V/3phase electrical panels. Contractor supplied equipment shall be designed to be maintained in place, if possible, with minimum disassembly of surrounding equipment and minimum usage of temporary scaffolding and handling equipment. Contractor must refer and comply to Contract Documents, Division 01, 21, 26 and 28 specifications requirements in whole, no exceptions will be accepted. Below is a listing for reference to the contractor of the specification to be used for this scope of work: 01 00 00 General Requirements 01 19 00 General Commissioning Requirements 01 33 23 Shop Drawings, Produce Data, and Samples 01 35 26 Safety Requirements 21 08 00 Commissioning of Fire Suppression Systems 21 13 13 Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systems 21 13 165 Dry Pipe Sprinkler Systems 21 30 16 Diesel Driven Fire Pump with House 26 05 11Requirements for Electrical Installations 26 05 19 Low-Voltage Electrical Power Conductors and Cables 26 05 33 Raceway and Boxes for Electrical Systems 26 08 00 Commissioning for Electrical Systems 26 24 16 Panelboards 26 27 26 Wiring Devices 26 29 21 Enclosed Switches and Circuit Breakers 28 05 00 Common Work Results for Electronic Safety and Security 28 05 13 Conductors and Cables for Electronic Safety and Security 28 05 28.33 Grounding and Bonding for Electronic Safety and Security 28 08 00 Commissioning of Electronic Safety and Security 28 31 00 Fire Detection and Alarm Provide testing and commissioning of the Fire Pump Assembly at the Manufacturers Assembly Plant and at the Site to include meeting the Division 01, Division 21, Division 26, and Division 28 Specifications requirements noted above and provide the site with completed Contractor s Material and Test Certificate for Aboveground Piping, meeting NFPA 20, Figure A.14.1.3(a). Contractor must advise in writing to the VA COR and the Engineer of Record of the Testing of the Fire Pump Assembly complete in the Manufacturer s Assembly Plant with a minimum of ten (10) days advanced notice so that the VA and the Engineer of Record can be at the plant during testing of the fire pump assembly complete.
