- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS), will be hosting an XM1223 Multi-Mode Proximity Airburst (MMPA) Industry Day. The Industry Day is scheduled to start at 8:30 AM (ET) on 26 April 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway, NJ, with onsite registration beginning at 8:00 AM. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide information regarding opportunities on the 30x113mm XM1223 Multi-Mode Proximity Airburst (MMPA) program that is anticipated to be a new-start program in FY24. Interested participants must pre-register for Industry Day by completing the registration form attached to this announcement no later than 12 April 2023. All representatives MUST provide a government form of photo identification at registration. Please send the completed registration form electronically to Mr. Daniel Potempa at daniel.l.potempa2.civ@army.mil and Mr. Mike Carrano at michael.w.carrano.civ@army.milby no later than 12 April 2023 @ 3pm Eastern. All briefs will be Distribution D � Distribution authorized to Department of Defense and U.S. DoD contractors only � as such, there will be no foreign visitors authorized to attend the MMPA Industry Day. Registration / Pre-Industry Day Questions: Requests to attend the MMPA Industry Day must include a brief statement describing the company�s capabilities as a manufacturer of medium caliber airburst ammunition or subcomponents within the ammunition. If the interested company does not currently manufacture medium caliber airburst ammunition or subcomponents � to include but not limited to propellant, cartridge casings, miniaturized circuit boards, power sources for ammunition, etc, the request must include a statement describing its rationale underlying its interest in this event. Please title your email as follows: �Response to MMPA Industry Day Sources Sought Announcement Number WQKNXXXXXX (Company Name)� and send to the POCs listed on this announcement. Pre-Industry Day questions can be submitted in advance or on the day of the event. Questions and responses will be presented and addressed with other companies present, in an open forum during the general Q&A session. All information discussed at Industry Day will be unclassified and up to Distribution D. Industry Day will consist of the following: 1) General session: The general session will be conducted at the Hilton Garden Inn, Rockaway, NJ on 26 April 2023 to cover the technical aspects, the current USG government design, and requirements for the 30x113mm XM1223 MMPA. A draft agenda for the general session will be provided upon receipt of initial registration.� All information exchanged during the General Session will be up to DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT D, with any follow-on materiel posted as DISTRIBUTION A. Approved for public release. 2) One-on-One Sessions: One-on-One sessions will be scheduled upon Government acceptance of a company�s written request. The Government will conduct one-on-one sessions immediately following the general Q&A Session. A limit of one session per company is permitted. Each session will be limited to approximately 30 minutes in duration. Companies interested in participating in a one-on-one session must indicate their interest during the initial registration process by 12 April 2023. Invitations will be sent out to registered companies once a timeslot has been scheduled. The one-on-one sessions will be used to inform the Government of the current and developing capabilities of the industrial base and ask questions pertaining to information provided during Industry Day. All questions and answers discussed during the One-on-One sessions will be shared with all participants of the event unless the information discussed is deemed proprietary. These sessions will be unclassified. The Government will attempt, but cannot guarantee, the accommodation of company requests for different timeslots. Companies can only be in attendance during their scheduled appointment. Companies will be notified by the Registration POC of the location for their one-on-one sessions. Questions can be provided to Mr. Daniel Potempa at daniel.l.potempa2.civ@army.mil and Mr. Mike Carrano at michael.w.carrano.civ@army.mil leading up to the event, as well as through the General Session on the day of the event. The following are the XM1223 MMPA Industry Day Rules of Engagement (RoE): - The Government intends to use this forum to communicate requirements, not to elicit trade secrets. - No sales pitches allowed from industry, no giveaways. - No cameras, tape recorders, or other reproduction devices are allowed. - Contractor personnel must be identified in advance, and only advance substitutions (2 days in advance notice) will be permitted. This announcement shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Industry Day.
