Description: Every two years, the Northern Area Dams require a contracted herbicide spraying program to effectively control woody vegetation on the site's embankments, groins, abutments, and 15ft beyond all contact points. This helps ensure the integrity of the earth filled structure. This program also serves as a way to control invasive plant species and the spread of unwanted phragmites while aiding to reduce maintenance efforts at each project.
