- Description
- The purpose of amendment is to provide responses to industry posed questions below. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged, as a result of amendment. We'd like to see a drawing of what the end user envisions. No drawing is available. The dewar will be placed on a stable level surface with a HPGe detector able to be mounted in either vertical or horizontal orientation. Does LN2 recycling mean an automatic filling system to keep the dewar within high and low limits? LN2 recycling refers to cooling the N2 vapors back into liquid form so that the dewar maintains enough LN2 to keep the detector cool for longer than a non-recyling dewar OR is this a closed loop system? Closed loop Will the end user be providing the detector assembly and installing it? yes Will the end user be installing the detector? yes Will the end user be providing photos of their current dewar/set up? no NER is 3 liters per day: this is likely in conflict with the expected dewar size and 1 year hold time. Can you provide the heat leak of your current set up? We do not have any measured values of heat leaks for our setups. Currently we are using HPGe detectors from both Ortec and Mirion. Is the dewar to be made of stainless steel? Whatever material is sufficient to contain LN2 and keep the outside walls insulated so that the dewar can be handled when full of LN2 should be used. Is there a weight restriction? No Are there any code requirements? I dont know, since it uses both cyrogens and electrical any relevant codes need to be met as required. Is a CE mark needed? Uncertain what this means. With the detector in place, is there a requirement for pressure relief? Yes.
