- Description
- The below requirement is being procured sole-source under simplified acquisition procedures as it is testing of software already on contract. GFEBS and GFEBS-SA provides multiple types of financial transactions andfunctional analysis and reporting capabilities that are accurate and timely to supportArmy and Department of Defense leader decisions, while ensuring compliance to meetthe audit readiness. The Government has the requirement to upgrade both systems(GFEBS and GFEBS-SA), especially with the new release of SAPs Enhancement Pack8 (EHP8), through a two phased approach of analysis and implementation. The analysisphase is required to provide rapid prototyping, pilot study, and early return oninvestment to the products development lifecycle. The goal is to reduce operations andmaintenance of custom code baselines while modernizing with newer SAPtechnologies. The landscape to be utilized for the analysis consists of multi-stacked SAPenvironments (e.g. Dev, QA, Staging and Production) across multiple IL4/IL6 AmazonWeb cloud hosting infrastructure. The implementation effort is intended to be a phasedapproach of prototyping best practices for US Army GFEBS tailoring, then transitioningto regular sustainment activities for product update release cycles. Also, this tool willfeed the scope of database migration to the newer HANA technologies by optimizingcode and improve transactional response times for both end users and batch jobs. Requirement This analysis task is to provide a greater understanding of the level of effort required toperform a EHP8 upgrade across both systems. The major tasks required are to analyze, modify, and convert legacy custom code into more modernized SAP technologies. These efficiencies will move data through entire system more quickly in the cloud.
