- Description
- The Virginia Army National Guard (VAARNG) intends to issue a solicitation for mobile occupational health medical surveillance examinations to be conducted throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia in support of full-time and part-time VAARNG personnel. The government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for phlebotomy, vision, pulmonary, and hearing testing exams.� The place of performance will vary, but may occur at armories in the following areas: North Chesterfield, Virginia Beach, Gate City, Troutville, and Blackstone. Hearing exams must conform to the audiogram data listed on Department of Defense (DD) Form 2216. https://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/forms/dd/dd2216.pdf. Up to six (6) events for any combination of these services will occur per year, each being ordered via issuance of individual task order(s). Task orders will involve performing services at single or multiple locations and may be considered one event. Orders which include multiple service locations will each be performed during the same period of performance. The Government will furnish the necessary workspace at each location. The contractor will be expected to provide the personnel, equipment, tools, and materials required to perform all services indicated in each task order. While it is the intent of the VAARNG to maximize competition, the results of this sources sought announcement will determine if the VAARNG solicits competitively and, if so, the type of set aside. The following roles are considered key for meeting requirements.� Individual task order requirements may require more multiple individuals at one or more sites. Board-eligible or Certified Occupational Medicine Physician / Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist:� Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) will be performed by licensed physicians or personnel certified through a program approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1001.� Medical Technicians: Credentialed but will work under the auspices of the licensed provider.� Audiogram Screening Technicians: Shall be certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).� Responses to this notice are to be submitted via email to curtis.l.gardner6.civ@army.mil no later than 2:00 PM ET, Thursday, March 24, 2023.�
