- Description
- DISA is seeking information on technology upgrades and solutions to the existing Soft Switch backbone network infrastructure operated within the Department of Defense (DoD). The objective is to introduce a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based policy engine routing solution consisting of a primary and subtended instance of core policy engine technology that can ensure continuity of operations in the event of a single policy engine and/or Session Border Controller (SBC) failure. The SBCs and Policy Engines will be interconnected securely via the unclassified Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Internet Protocol (IP) backbone. DISA is seeking options where the policy engine solution could be deployed within a DoD data center, a FedRAMP IL5 hosted environment, or a hybrid combination. UPDATE: March 15, 2023- Questions and Answers have been added to the RFI attachments.
