Description

The Pacific Northwest Research Station (PNW), Juneau Forestry Sciences Lab � Juneau, AK intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Siemens Industry Inc., 1000 Deerfield Pkwy Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 for Siemens Desigo HVAC System Maintenance. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The Juneau Forestry Sciences Lab requires preventative maintenance, software support/updates and calibration services. As this work requires the integration and communication with the existing proprietary HVAC control system which was provided by Siemens, only Siemens can perform this work and is therefore authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). To solicit to another source would cause the void of any warranties currently in place and incur additional expense. The anticipated award date is April 1, 2023. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238220 and the size standard is $16,500,000.00. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement was based market research. A solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
