Description

The United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Mission in Eastern and Southern Caribbean (ESC), is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information and potential interest from organizations for strengthening Youth Justice in Barbados and The Bahamas. The goal of the activity is to strenghten�existing juvenile justice initiatives in Barbados and The Bahamas. Interventions will support the two countries in reviewing and sensitizing on juvenile justice legislation and strengthening existing and establishing new pre- and or post- trial diversion, rehabilitation and reintegration programs. This includes strengthening support systems and wrap-around services that benefit youth such as the family, mental health services, skills training and opportunities for economic empowerment. These programs will focus on the holistic development of youth and will be underpinned by Positive Youth Development approaches. These approaches will focus on building youth skills, assets, and competencies to foster healthy relationships, and strengthen the environment that they live in. The activity focuses on strengthening an interagency approach to data and case management by firstly conducting an assessment of the data and case management systems in each country.
