Interested vendors should express their interest on the SAM.GOV posting, Interested Vendors List, or by emailing the Procurement Specialist for this project. Title: CUIR Subproject 1 Commissioning Agent Services 1) Purpose SLACs Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization (CUIR) project team is seeking services of a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), NETA or NICET certified preferred, for the CUIR project located at the SLAC National Laboratory at 2575 Sand Hill Rd., Menlo Park, California to partner with and act as an experienced, knowledgeable commissioning agent (CxA). The CxA shall develop and implement a systematic commissioning process for achieving, verifying, and documenting the interactive performance of facilities or systems and their various components within areas of the CUIR project scope. The commissioning process should meet the latest CUIR Project Requirements (PR), which will be provided at the time of scope authorization and subsequent change requests. To ensure the commissioning process meets design intent, and the functional and operational needs of SLAC, SLAC will retain the CxA during the CUIR preliminary design phase to assist the CUIR project team with establishing clear project commissioning goals and expectations, documenting the design intent and continuing through construction, acceptance, and warranty periods with actual verification of performance, operation, and maintenance (O&M) documentation along with training of operating personnel as applicable. 2) Background CUIR will revitalize and modernize electrical, mechanical, domestic water/fire protection, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and natural gas utility systems to support scientific discovery and foster safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable operations to mitigate risks resulting from aging infrastructure on new buildings and advanced scientific research needs. CUIR is organized into three (3) subprojects to address requirements in an efficient fashion that aligns with lab priorities, operational downtimes to perform construction activities, and sequencing of construction activities. This Statement of Work is focused on the first subproject: Subproject 1 (SP1) Critical Electrical Work. Subproject 1 (SP1) - Critical Electrical Work is planned to include major electrical system upgrades and modernization scope to fulfil the project requirement (PR) available at this time - CUIR Electrical Requirements document (CUIR-RQ-0035-R3). Subproject 1 is currently undergoing preliminary design with the intent to complete construction of the planned scope as Design-Build and/or Design-Bid-Build method.
