- Description
- The Department of Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). The anticipated contractor is Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 10, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976. DIA has a requirement for the procurement of Gas Chromatograph (GC) High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS) equipment with accompanying accessories. This includes the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris GC Mass Spectrometer. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the open market items listed above by 12:00 PM (Noon) Eastern Time (ET) on March 30, 2023 to Michael Horvath, Contracting Officer, at michael_horvath@ibc.doi.gov and Emily Wood, Contract Specialist, at emily_wood@ibc.doi.gov. AQD will not be responsible for any costs incurred by an interested party responding to this notice. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for the open market items list above.
