THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY- A formal solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. The information gathered for market research will be vital in the formulation and set-aside status of the solicitation. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has requirement for Micro Focus AcuCOBOL Unix and Linux License Renewal and Software Maintenance Support, that is currently in place. The scope of this requirement addresses the need to provide Micro Focus ACUCOBOL Subscription capable to operate in a cloud environment. A Micro Focus ACUCOBOL compiler with UNIX/LINUX interface drivers are essential elements of the basic system design for DIBS. The use of legacy COBOL programs require an appropriate compiler and Micro Focus is a vendor that still supports COBOL developed software and has a version that is compatible with cloud environment planned for DeCA. The DIBS applications require a specific compiler and the Micro Focus product UNIX/LINUX version of AcuCOBOL is the only one with that capability for the systems that DeCA uses. Program will support all commissary locations worldwide. Please note that all contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. FAR and DFARs representation and certifications must be completed in SAMs. The website to register is https://www.sam.gov.
