Description
Notice of Intent to award as a sole source requirement for the provision of full-service waste disposal, to Waste Management. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The US Customs and Border Protection has a requirement for the transportation, treatment, storage, disposal and recycle of waste in a lawful manner, for 12 locations throughout the U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector area of operations, a sector consisting of over 262 border miles and covering most of the state of Arizona from the New Mexico state line to the Yuma County line. This action is a logical follow-on to the previously awarded Waste Disposal and Treatment competitively awarded contract, whereby competitive actions and independent market research continues to indicate that Waste Management is the only vendor capable of providing services to all locations within the Tucson Sector. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any vendors who believe they can provide the services and can provide proof of ability to meet the requirements should email their companys capabilities information to the attention of Frank S. Duarte, Contracting Officer (CO), at frank.s.duarte@cbp.dhs.gov, by March 28, 2023. Information submitted should support the companys capability to perform the work required. The Government shall not be responsible for costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Only email responses accepted. No phone calls.
